The Domestication of Animals effervesce a spontaneous joy rarely heard even in punk, free jazz, or other shame-eschewing musics. The trio translate the charming natter and stutter of nervous speech into high-energy fractured glitch rock. Their songs have an internal logic of excessive, almost proggy proportions, but without the cold intellect that usually comes with that. These mad unscientists make a beauteous skronk best understood by fans of The Raincoats, Moondog, the Residents, and Half Japanese.
