HELLO.

We are excited to announce EGO PLUM's most ambitious project to date: his first foray into composing music & songs for theater! The stage production GOGOL PROJECT will be opening September 25 and running until November 8, 2009 at the Bootleg Theater in Los Angeles, CA.

Gogol Project! Rogue Artists Ensemble's newest theatrical adventure will catapult audiences into the grotesque and whimsical world of Russian absurdist Nikolai Gogol, bringing three of his most famous short stories - Diary of a Madman, The Overcoat and The Nose - to Hyper-theatrical life with a mix of live actors, puppetry, masks, dance, digital projection, and Ego Plum's inventive musical score and surrealistic original songs.

An 18-track CD of Ego Plum's original Gogol Project Soundtrack will be available exclusively at the theater during the run of the show. The soundtrack proudly features Oingo Boingo guitarist, composer, and orchestrator STEVE BARTEK on the Portuguese guitar, the Russian Balalaika, electric guitars, acoustic guitars, and theremin!

In our town of Nevsky Prospect, noses escape their faces, your rank is judged by the coat you wear and dogs sing love songs. Here, time is ruled by the law, but kept by a clock-keeper who wants to get the girl.
